Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hi Frank,
Post #4448 - Its low oil filler hatch suggests that it is not a G-10.
Respectfully,
Steve Sheflin

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Franck, Lubo,

Thanks to Rasmussen, 7 May 2014, the W.Nr. of this Erla built Bf 109 G-14 is thought to be W.Nr. 465 805.

Cheers
Marc

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

But what about the digits on the rudder?
Replacement or some obscure part number?

How was the ID made?

Cheers
Stig

Rasmussen kindly gave me that answer on my Flickr page, 7 May 2014. No details given.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

The number on the rudder is the internal Erla c/n.

Erla 49247 = RLM 465805.

Dirk

Thanks Dirk
Never heard of before that Erla kept their own WNr range, but it certainly explains the digits....

Cheers
