Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Is it known when/where the Do 217 N SO+QY was captured?

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
That Fw 190 seems to have the long, thin JG 301 horizontal Gruppe bar. The tactical number "9" (yellow?) is in a fairly small size on a patch of darker paint. Adjusted photo attached.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes
Hello Nick,
Post #4515 - Its prop blade warning stripes are a dead giveaway. Unless I am mistaken, this is NDW-built Fw 190 A-8, WNr. 961065. On 45/04/19, it was flown to Einsatzhafen I Frankfurt Rhein-Main, Germany (coordinates 50.044444 8.590278) by Uffz. Gerhardt Kürschner of 4.II.SG3. Marked 14+ - yellow, outlined in black, like several other SG3 aircraft its II./Gruppe bars were longer than normal. Respectfully, Steve Sheflin |
