Hi Nick
Yes a well known photo, while the 40 built by Dayton-Wright are very elusive.

The P-number list has been published (I think) in both AAHS magazines and Skyways.
Don't know if this one differs or not....it is a long list check....
Cheers
Stig

Re: Photos USAAS Aircraft

Thanks both. So definitely a XB-1A then. A bit thrown personally by what had looked like an open cockpit. But I guess not. Thanks also Nick for the P number list, which I shall no doubt refer to in the future.

Regards,

Clint

Re: Photos USAAS Aircraft

Hello,

Currently on ebay are a couple of photos of the Martin GMC A62951 with 37mm cannon. One rather clearer than the other

Clint

The Martin GMB, finished with a nose cannon as the GMC was AS 62950

The number you mention was the last GMB ordered by the USAAS, finished as s sort
of passenger transport and was designated GMP.

Both the GMC and GMP were ordered on 4 Jan 1919 and the GMC was delivered to McCook Field
in Sep 1919

Cheers
Stig

Re: Photos USAAS Aircraft

The star emblem is the Martin logo 1918-21, a white star on blue disc with red outline. In the centre was marked "MARTIN" over "USA".
