Re: Captured British Aircraft
Not 100% certain this aircraft was actually captured with text written in English.
However the delivery crew were made POW and aircraft SOC by its unit https://www.ebay.com/itm/31359797240...Cclp%3A2563228 It shows an FE.2b B498 which went missing on its delivery flight 15.5.1918 to 100 Sq. The aircraft had been handed over to the unit 20 Feb but was not collected until the 15th Cheers Stig. |

Re: Captured British Aircraft
N6358 was shot down 11/10/17 flown by F/S/Lt Norman Black ( DOW) 9(Naval) Sqn probably by Dannhuber Jasta 26; the crescent was used from 8/17 to 3/18. Camel previously with 6(N) Sqn.
The other Camel is 70 Sqn. with dulled insignia; marking used until 3/18. Most likely one abandoned at Marieux during the German advance in March. Nick Last edited by Buckeye30; 26th December 2021 at 14:45. |
