I have the following:- 26 Oct 1939 – a Do 17P of 4(F)./122 suffered an engine failure while on a sortie to the English East Coast. The aircraft force-landed in Holland. Date Unit Aircraft Type Code Wkr.No. Notes 26 Oct 1939 4(F)./122 Do 17P F6+HM 4052 Forced landed at Grőningen, Holland. Uffz Otto. Wendt, Fw. Rudolf. Diesterweg and Fw. Josef. Hundenborn all interned by the Dutch. The aircraft was taken to Soesterberg for examination by the RNAF. Source - Cornwell, Peter – The Battle of France Then and Now p107 – first names added from Matti Salonen 122 personnel extract from database 03/01/18. Note Matti has Wk Nr as 4032 Hope that this is of help.

This Fw 190A looks to me like CT+LQ. It appears to have an interesting camouflage scheme on wings.

It's a Fw 190 A-7 most likely found at Bayreuth-Bindlach. Location is not 100% confirmed though, neither is (to me) if it's CT+LO or CT+LQ. Looks more like LQ though. Werknummer, accordingly, either 430706 or 430708.
Guns were removed, landing gear hydraulics defect, airframe was subjected to heavy repainting, no upper-wing crosses applied. Maintenance inscription underneath the cockpit ("Fw 190 A / WNr. 43070? / some three-letter/number code) Looks like this plane has been decommisioned for a while prior to being captured or was in the process of overhaul. |
