Thats funny, the two photos of the Hurricane taken from the right hand side are the same rail car, NT 0358, same airframe with the letter V.

using the RAFCommands database of serials:

There was a

P2808 Hurricane I delivered prior to Apr 1940
Z2808 Hurricane II delivered after Jan 41 with no specific history recorded

The serial numbers been cut away between shots.

In previous photos, I have seen a total of four British aircraft on French flatbed rail cars in similar disrepair. They must have been relatively popular at the time.

Interesting the L208x is either L2081 or L2088 - It looks like it may have turned over on landing ..

Both lost May 1940 with 601 Sqn

The pilots of these are confused internet sources maybe someone can confirm serial from photo

the other 'V' has to be P2808



Can anyone work out the correct
