Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source

Folks,

A fantastic find - at least for me - today: In Jet & Prop 2001/5, a dozen stills do show Bf 109 G-6 W.Nr. 18 312 "BF+QD" being tested by Flugkapitän Erich Dahm with a ...sickle bladed propeller! Regensburg, 1944-1945. Wow!!!

Cheers
Marc

Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source

Hi Marc,

I see that: "Bf 109 G-6/R2/Trop W.Nr. unknown "Weisse ?", Lt. Troebs, 1./NAGr. 12, Mostar, Spring 1944" - seems to be the wrong link. But the most important - I SEE!!
It´s like the healing of the blind...
Btw, I have WNr 18312 as being delivered to 4° Stormo Regia Aeronautica from depot Bari June, 19, 1943 and a further mentioning in September 1944 at E-Stelle Rechlin. The 2nd mentioning might have somthing to do with your photo; the 1st mentioning might significate damage and repair.

Regards

Roland

Danke Roland! Just glad you can now wander around, pick your choice and shed your profound knowledge.

interesting the career of W.Nr. 18312: it one pot the few which actually were flown out of Southern Italy before it was too late...

On the move, folks!

I just started the massive task of grouping all the 3600+ pics by units. There will be thus three possible entires:

- by type and W.Nr.
- by location
- by unit

We'll miss of course the search engine function...beyond Flickr capacities...or beyond mines?

Cheers
Marc

I think you need a website with database...
Is it possible to set keywords for the photos at Flickr? Then you can group with it... but you can't make a combination of the keywords...

You know what David?

We should export all those pics in your excellent website: is that an idea?
