Just an observation, the plane has no Erla canopy.

Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source
Anybody seen this one before I just found it one Facebook of all places
https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...38438499_o.jpg Looks very much like a colour photo of 109Ks the closest one with RLM 81/82 fuselage but 74/75 wing? |

Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source
The latest Bf 109K fuselages - unpainted lower surfaces, only a snake-form streak of RLM 76 to equalize poor pre-fab painting of the fuselages. Where does this photo come from? According to my infos the final assembly of the K-4 was done in secondary factories like Waldwerke, KZ-dependencies etc. Maybe parts of Fliegerhorst Obertraubling?

Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source
Phas3e and Roland,
www.flickr.com/photos/28092068@N03/11550417415 This pic was taken after 17 April 1945 at Nürnberg A/F. It stems from the Collection Rulison and was published in Luftwaffe im Focus 20, photo 5. You're correct, Roland: those are the latest known airframes which lower fuselages and bottom were left unpainted, having this "Bodenwöhr snake" streak of RLM 76 equalizing roughly the RLM 81/82 with the unpainted fuselage surfaces....Those shown are from the W.Nr. 335 xxx batch. Cheers Marc |

Hi Matthias,
The first basic question is "do you have a Yahoo/Flickr account?".... If not, you have to register. Regards, Franck. |

Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source
That´s not the problem, Franck.
You can register as many times as you want at Yahoo/FlickR here in Germany - "this content is not available for you", i.e. you are not allowed to watch photographs with swastikas. Some kind of homemade censorship. I tried dozens of times to bypass this blockade - with no success :-( |

Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source
AH OK Roland!
Didn't know. Sorry Matthias.... Use a VPN, like we do in China!.. In the mean time, David's site is displaying Swastika and Hartmann sites either; aren't they? Means if Yahoo/Flickr was German born and based in Germany Marc would have the possibility to write: "This is an historical site and we don't pretend to defend any political bla bla bla ..." that's it? Did you both try to change your internet options, changing german language for English language in the tool box??? This happened for some eBay stuffs and we made it ... Regards, Franck. |
