Agreed but there's no sign of Panzerfaust mountings on the wings, as far as I can make out. If it is a Bavarian airfield then 3. Panzerjagdstaffel was at Kaubeuren and the 10. had been in Straubing prior to transferring into Luftflotte 4's area.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hi Marc,
Bolstering your G-10 contention for the burned-out Bf 109: Note the barely visible, three out of four, light colored, DB 605 D Electrical connectors near its firewall.
Respectfully,
Steve Sheflin

hi,

nachtschlacht-buckers did fly with bombs; panzerfaust-buckers with panzerfausts :-) so these have bombracks and no panzerfaust-mountings...

all the best

If they ever actually flew! All of the Bü 181 NSKdos. that I know of (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and one other) were being established on northern airfields as of 5 April 1945. The photo is supposed to have been taken in Bavaria however.

Both of which I have (and one of which I contributed to) but records of actual operations have eluded me so far (I can't remember right now if Christian Möller had any). There are some accounts of ops by Panzerjagdstaffeln (by Rick Chapman in Scale Models, and another article in Jet & Prop, both of which I have somewhere but would be hard-pressed to find).
