It's Langendiebach airfield. Source: Report A-328 from 5. April 1945.

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

My comment on posts #749 and #754:

I´m in doubt that the Me262´s (see post # 748) were photographed at Brandenburg Briest. This airfield was occupied by the Russians on May 2nd 1945.
So no free access to this airfield for GI´s with their Jeep / DC-3 Dakota (seen in the background).

Does somebody know any postwar photos of Btandenburg Briest?

Best regards, Karl

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

#763 "Ju 88" is not that type. Tail just looks similar in outline (but fabric covered) and tailplane is set abowe fuselage top line. Italian markings on tail and fuselage.
Possibly Fiat RS 14 http://www.aviastar.org/pictures/italy/fiat_rs-14.jpg

And story here http://www.legallais.net/2012/03/epa...le-31-03-2012/

Most of the Ju 52 photos in #763 are inscribed 'Scilly 1943' on the back side. Of course, this should read 'Sicily'.

But what is correct: 'Sicily' or 'Tunis El Aouina'?
