Hurricane & Spitfire code letters and serial numbers

Hi,
I’m struggling to get some details and was wondering if someone can help and clarify missing bits and pieces. I’ve attached a list of Hurricanes and Spitfires for which I’m trying to find code letters or serial numbers. I know there are guys with huge knowledge, who may fill the gaps.

Hurricanes:

32 Sqn
Hurricane I GZ-? R4106
Hurricane I GZ-? N2524
Hurricane I GZ-? P6546
Hurricane I GZ-? V6572
Hurricane I GZ-? N2671
Hurricane I GZ-? P3679
Hurricane GZ-? Z2984

145 Sqn
Hurricane I SO-? R4177

238 Sqn
Hurricane I VK-? P3219
Hurricane I VK-? L1998
Hurricane I VK-? P3836
Hurricane I VK-? L1889

249 Sqn
Hurricane I GN-? V6534
Hurricane I GN-? V6614
Hurricane I GN-? R4178

257 Sqn
Hurricane I DT-? P3893

501 Sqn
Hurricane I SD-? P3820
Hurricane I SD-? P5193
Hurricane I SD-? P5194

601 Sqn
Hurricane I UF-? L1819

Spitfires:

74 Sqn
Spitfire I ZP-? X4167
Spitfire II ZP-? P7363

I’m also looking for individual code letters and serial numbers for:
Hurricane I AF-? from 607 Sqn, flying which P/O Wlasnowolski claimed Do 17 over Poole on 15.9.40;
Hurricane I AF-? from 607 Sqn, flying which P/O Surma claimed Bf 109 SE of St Catherine’s Point on 26.9.40
and
Hurricane I DZ-? from 151 Sqn, flying which P/O Surma claimed He 111 prob. over Redlett on 30.8.40

Any help, advices and hints very much appreciated.
Regards
Peter

Re: Hurricane & Spitfire code letters and serial numbers

I have the following identities for three of the Hurricanes:
V6614 GN-B
P5193 SD-O
P5194 SD-J
I have to admit, though, that I cannot quote my sources for these.

Re: Hurricane & Spitfire code letters and serial numbers

Thank you guys

Yes, you're right Tuck re Battle number. I didn't check Air - Britain before assuming that my source was right.
In that case, does anyone know which plane was flown on 22nd of August 1940 by Karol Pniak, Polish pilot of 32 Sqn?

Regards
Peter
