Thanks for your efforts which match with what I have. However, there are omissions for example 3 Apr 40 when Lt Fritz Koch (4 Staffel) and Oblt Karl Overweg and Uffz Willi Erkens (5 Staffel) were lost, the latter being victims of a combat with a Sunderland. I have all the NVMs for May and June 40 plus all for Z/KG 30 if you are interested. My aim is to try and find out what exactly they were up to oct 39-Apr 40

Mahrenholtz of III./KG 30

Hi there
Allow me to correct a minor piece of info with regard to Mahrenholtz of III./KG 30 killed on 9/4 1940.
His body was found near Thyboron in Denmark on 27/7 1940 and was laid to rest in Lindholm cemetery near Aalborg West on 30/7 1940. In the mid sixties he was moved to Grove cemetery near Fliegerhorst Grove.

Ergänzungskampfgruppe 4 (ErgKGr 4) /KG30

Norbert/Chris

Perhaps you can have a look at my post on the recovered Ju88 from Lake Jonsvatnet.

Belonged to KG30 supposedly. No listing.

Belonged to ErgKGr4 previously. Is there a listing?

regards

Mark

Re: KG 30 Losses Sep 39-Mar 40

Hello!

I have a Wehrpass plus other papers belonging to a Uffz. Hans Heinrich Selk.
He was a pilot in the 3. Staffel KG 30.
on October 8. 1939 the Wehrpass says that he is "Tödlich verunglückt", but I do not know the circumstances.
I do not know, if this is any help at all Chris, but there You have it.
All the best and thank You for some excellent books over the years.
Christian

Hi Chris: A bit off topic. With regard to a thread you posted a year or so ago, about Z/KG-30 personnel. Wondering if you could confirm if Oblt. Gerhard Frhr.Grote had flown with Z/KG-30, and if he, per chance, transferred to the Schlacht arm when Z/KG-30 was redesignated as a NF unit ? Cheers. Dean
