Alexander von winterfeldt's WWI claims

Hi

Am trying to find the claims information about von winterfeldt's alleged four x 1918 claims with Jasta 20. Am beginning to think he didn't make any.

Grateful for any assistance

Johannes

Re: Alexander von winterfeldt's WWI claims

Johannes,

I have a number of the Grub Street books dealing with the Jasta pilots, etc. I can find no mention of his name anywhere, including 'THE JASTA PILOTS' which is supposed to list all Jasta and Marine Jasta pilots. The entry for Jasta 20 lists all pilots who claimed victories with them and again he is not included. He could have been a pilot or observer in another type of unit ?

Have you tried 'The Aerodrome' forum. The WW1 specialists there would know if anyone would.

Regards,

Martin Gleeson.
