Bf 110 W.Nr. 3651 - Any information available?
Hello,
A control stick of a Bf 110 has the number 3651 printed onto is body in large white digits. From Fw 190 control sticks I know that sometimes the aircraft's serial number was indicated onto the stick (maybe that it was not confused with other aircraft when removed for repair). Now, 3651 fits, as far as I could find out, to a Bf 110 C-7. Does anybody have information about W.Nr. 3651? If it survived the war, it is more likely that the stick actually came from this aircraft. If it was shot down, on the other side, the number on the stick would have had a different meaning. Regards, Roger |

Re: Bf 110 W.Nr. 3651 - Any information available?
PS: 3651 was a rare C-7. I searched TOCH for more information and found an old post by RT Rémi:
3 6 43 BM LKD Ost/Süd Barwenkowo Mbrand BF110C-7 3651 25 Which unit was LKD? Mbrand was most likely Motorbrand (engine on fire). Regards, Roger |
