White Triangle on Late War Bf 109
The goal of this post is to start a new thread on the identification of the white triangles on the tail of late war Bf 109's. Several examples and pictures are known, perhaps the best quality pictures are Bf 109G-14, WNr. 463141, schwarze 17, which landed on May 8th 1945 at Fürth. Is there any specific proof to which unit these 109's belong? I believe they might be linked to III./EJG 1 but I would welcome any thoughts on these machines.

Re: White Triangle on Late War Bf 109
Enclosed a reference to several pictures of late war 109's with white triangles. Marc-Andre Haldimann collected them already in a file.
