Willy Schaufhausen, the original pilot of VH-UUR, was killed when Atlantic-Fokker IV/F.XI (c/n.436), NC8046/G-AUJT/VH-UJT, crashed into a grove of coconut palms on take-off, near Alexishafen (Sek), NG, on 6 August, 1939.
