What about Bf 109 H
In the Georg Pemler book "Route nationale n°7", a story of the 2./NAGr. 13 in Provence between July and August 1944, we can read on page 64 something about a Bf 109 H: "an Oberleutnant mit hohen Auszeichnungen... hatte eine der neuen , besonders für Höhenflüge geeigneten Me 109 h (sic!) mitgebracht." Is it possible that such a plane is the same that was with 5.(F)/123 on month earlier Has anybody something to say about this ?

Re: What about Bf 109 H
Bf 109H of 5./123 is marked as non-combat loss, not as transferred to other unit

Re: What about Bf 109 H
Take a look at this: http://www.ghostbombers.com/recon/109/bf109h_1.html
Bear in mind that Pemler was with 1./NAG 13 (as a Flieger Verbindungsoffizier) in Northern France before he was transferred to the 2. Staffel, so he may have encountered the 109 H then. |
