Hello,
Who were the staffelführers in the 14.(Z)/LG1 at the time of the Battle of Britain?

Many thanks
Fran

Re: 14.(Z)/LG1 question to John Vasco

According to 'Zerstörergruppe, A History of V.(Z)/LG 1 - I./NJG 3 1939-1941' by Ludwig von Eimannsberger (ISBN: 0-7643-0479-8) [this book is a 'must-have' if you are interested in Bf 110 operations during the Battle of Britain], the Staka were Hptm. Alexander Mauke (sick, 8/8/40); Hptm. Hans von Boltenstern (transferred to Erpr. Gr. 210 on 26/8/40); Oblt. Michael Junge (KIA 4/9/40). After the loss of Michael Junge, the Gruppenadjutant, Oblt. Ernst Zobel led 14. Staffel up to its final demise on 27th September 1940.

Hope this helps.

Another book(s) that may be of interest - 'Die Geschichte des Lehrgeschwaders 1 (History of LG 1) - Part 1' (and 2). these are available thru http://www.christian-schmidt.com/Volume 1 covers the LG 1's heavy fighter group, Stuka group and early bomber ops. Lists losses and claims - the 110 guys claimed almost 100 vics if I recall correctly.
