Re: Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur A 217/XII - Jun-1943
I have never seen this type of designation before. A little research shows that there are a number of unknown commanders out there. Example:
http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de/...os/FBK2-13.htm A look through this list, one by one, shows a number of ? (or unbekannt) instead of a name. Ed |

Re: Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur A 217/XII - Jun-1943
Hello Ed,
You are making reference to the Flughafen-Bereichskommando 2/XIII. This Oberstleutnant Landmann (or Landemann?) was most probably in charge of the Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur A 217/XII (Avord). But you are right, there are many gaps (with "?") in the listings. All the best, Frederic |

Re: Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur A 217/XII - Jun-1943
Hello Frederic,
Part of the problem is name changes as time passed. Regarding A 217/XII, and others, first it has one name then it becomes some other name. Were all personnel retained over time? I can't tell. http://www.ww2.dk/ground/flibo/fk/fka217-12.html Regards, Ed |

Hello/Bonjour,
Oberstleutnant Landmann is this man (attached). A photo album is held by the Museum of the Deportation and Resistance of Bourges, album where this Officer appears many times. Attachment 14961 All the best, Frederic |
