Re: Soviet pilot and event ID

Demtschenko NNE of Tarutino , Alenteev & Deviakovitch South of Causheni no
precise location. Deviakovitschi was stripped his Captain ranks to Private as
last option before field court martial avoiding Straffbat due intervention of
Gen.Sudetz Vladimir Alexandrovitsch the reasons remain as we speak classified .

Lvov SSW of Taraclia possible shot down by Romanian Mountain Brigade AA

As into Kutzenko I am puzzled not to find the 989th SchAP on my records
one of the reasons is that from March 44 through April as part of 2 VA
the group despite integrated into 17 VA moved from Cernauti through Chisinau
I therefore need to check more on this.

Finally as into Pvt Msg I will do it on the weekend when time allows

PS : OBD has changed and became user unfriendly

Re: Soviet pilot and event ID

Thanks a lot. I found the 989 Shap having great documentation, but I have their records just for later period. 136 shad regiments are a few of those who recorded even their AC markings, numbers as well. Do you have any pic showing their markings? 306 shad markings are ok, but 136 shad not quite. Thanks,
Gabor

Re: Soviet pilot and event ID

Hi Gabor

This Regiment is completly new to my research area , I have no information about
his movement during 1st and 2nd Iasi Chisinau Offensives nor any photos , just Opersvodka of 17 VA tahough also there they not mention much . Frankly I think
they were moved to Hungaria much earlier than I thought

Well, in November, 1944 the 989th ShAP fought in Yugoslavia around Panchevo, then in early December, 1944 they entered Hungary. This was one of the few soviet air units having many Spanish airmen enlisted. Celestino Martinez Fierros and many others.

Photos of pilots, but not aircrafts, (or at least not identified aircrafts. ) Tons of materials, but for 1944-45, Hungary, including all of their losses.

Re: Soviet pilot and event ID

I have no identified 989 ShAP AC photos. I'd say November, 1944-April, 1945. No research before and/or after.
