Re: Searching a fate of Bf110C-7's.

THX Jim!
According to Petrick tables, W.Nr.2157 was a Bf110C-5, built in early aug.1940. But probably it was later converted to fighter-bomber, as many C-1/2/4's.

Re: Searching a fate of Bf110C-7's.

Gentlmen:

I wonder, Bf110C-7 was supposed to be JagdBomber, and fitted with ETC500 racks, but most of those 39 aircrafts were delivered to ZG (as clear fighters/zerstorer) and NJG units, not to Erpr.Gr.210! And used without bombracks?

Are there any photos of Bf110 with ventral bombrack with ZG76 or ZG2 or ZG26 during Battle of Britain?

Re: Searching a fate of Bf110C-7's.

John:

Thx for answer.

So, it seems for me that Bf110C-7's had ability to be equipped with ETC500 (in this way it got enforsed gear/tires and spur/tail wheel to be able to carry 1000kg of bombs), but in fact most of C-7 went to clear fighter/zerstorer role, and were NOT equipped with bombracks during Battle of Britain.

I know only 2 Bf110C-7, wich went to ground-attack Gruppe (Erpr.Gr.210) and got ETC500. All othes - had not.

But after BoB, GeneralStaff ordered to equipp all C and D with bombracks, as E model. At the same time, many C and D got /U3, /U4 and /U6 armor plates. This explain many "Bf110C-7"'s, wich in fact (checking W.Nr.s) are C-1, C-2 and C-4 after repairwoks.

Am I right, John?
