Potez 631 F1C 11.05.40
Hi,
on the 11.05.40 two Potez 631 from the F1C (or AC1) were downed by Bf110 from the 4/ZG26 over Holland. I know that one wreck`s photo of one of these Potez is in existence. I wonder if there are any markings visible? Regards Robert |

Re: Potez 631 F1C 11.05.40
Hello
actually more pictures do exist but they show only wreckage of both planes of which the first one crashed in the Verkuyl Quakkelaarstraat in Flushing (both crew members killed) and the second one near the small hamlet called the Pyramide which is situated southeast of the village of Biervliet Hope this helps |

Re: Potez 631 F1C 11.05.40
Robert,
I have a few Aéronautique navale Pz 631 photographs. They are not the sexiest planes I have ever seen.. Markings were limited to the serial number on the fuselage and an individual code number on the fin. One had a "Donald Duck" personal insignia but that's about all. On 11 May, none were wearing the small white band added to the roundel late May to avoid confusions and "friendly fires" that cost a few planes and a few lives. As F1C archives were lost in the débâcle, we have few infos regarding these planes. For instance, no possibility to relate the serial number to the individual code.
