Re: Nice photo of a Fw 190 D9

@Philippe - You're welcome. Honestly, I can't remember anymore where I got the Row picture from. Might have been an old Ebay auction. It was definitely up in some online forum before.
@ Micke - This is a still from a movie and this aircraft has been discussed on the LEMB some years ago. The understanding then was that it is a "Green 7", but in my opinion it could very well be any other color besides black. Hard to tell from a black-and-white photo...

EDIT: Fw 190 "7+-" is an A-model, by the way, not a D-9 (in case anyone thinks that)

As the a/c has a horizontal bar marking Marc, would this not indicate a II Gruppe a/c and not a I Gruppe a/c? Also, II./JG301 was based at Stendal from 9.2.45 - 10.4.45 and finished the war at Leck as did I./JG301.

Re: Nice photo of a Fw 190 D9

I agree Kutscha. It is a second Gruppe machine. Given the similarity of hue seen between the red part of the RV Band and the tactical marking, I might suggest a 6./JG 301 machine.

Cheers

Philippe,

You will find here the 18 pics I know of showing Bf 109's found at Stendal. More do exist showing other types.
