Ju88 L1+GM of 4/LG1 shootdown 12 Apr (?) 1942
Hi folks,
Just researching one of my Flugbuch for a Uffz Richard Hackethal of 4/LG1 and I am just trying to clarify what date he was lost over Malta. At the following link it mentions 12 Apr 1942 in Ju88 L1+GM: http://aircrewremembrancesociety.co....304/index.html But the last entry in his Flugbuch is 12 Mar 1942, a Feindflug from Iraklion to Elevsis in his usual mount, Ju88A5 L1+FM. I'm very much an amateur and am very happy to be proven wrong, but it does seem rather a large coincidence that his Flugbuch stops exactly a month before his supposed death. Link to a couple of Flugbuch scans on a thread I made over at Wehrmacht History Forums: http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/Foru...d.php?t=843342 Basically I'm just curious and wonder if anyone has any further information? All replies gratefully received. Thank you |
