Arado Ar 196 (2./SAGr.128) September 1944 - France

Hello/Bonjour,

I am looking for any information regarding a seaplane (an Arado Ar 196A-3 (?) belonging propably to 2./SAGr.128) presumably abandoned at Châlons-sur-Saône, France, during a transfer of the unit from south France to Friedrichshafen. The two pictures (movie capture) show this latter during the Liberation of the city which occured September 5, 1944.

(Link to the complete movie: https://france3-regions.francetvinfo...te-544212.html )

Best regards,
Frederic

Seenotstaffel 1 was ordered to move from Biscarosse to Friedrichshafen on 19 August too. What is your source for this incident with the Ar 196, please?

Terroristengebiet = terrorists area. This is the first time I've seen this word used.

Roba - Les Hydravions de la Luftwaffe 1 has two photos of this aircraft in Chalon, but no additional information.
