Important question for engine number ?
Hello.
I need your help question for FW190 bmw801 motor numbers. What number it is, what does it mean? Do I can identify the plane Wnr. from this number in red color? And one more question. How km may fly burned FW190, smoke was coming from plane middle part? Thanks. Janis. |

Re: Important question for engine number ?
Hi Janis,
I believe the WNr. of the BMW 801 in question is 306746 (with the slight possibility that it is 306716). These digits are visible on the cooling fan blade. I can’t make out the red letters to which you refer, but rebuild numbers and dates were sometimes added to German aircraft engines. Steve Sheflin |
