1(F)/123.
Dornier Do17P ( ). Reconnaissance sortie. Shot down by French fighters and crashed and exploded in woods at Chaume, Le Haut-du-Them, 20 Km north-east of Lure, France, 5.45pm. 2 crewmen Missing. Fw. Heck baled-out and captured. Aircraft a write-off. Does anyone know the names of the 2 missing crew members? |

1.(F)/123 Dornier Do17P-1. Shot down by Adjt Valentin, Capt Papin, and Sgt Lamblin of GC II/7 during reconnaissance of the railway between Vitry-le-François and Épinal and believed exploded in woods at La Chaume, Haut du Them, 5.45 p.m. FF Oberfw Heinz Mirau and BF Obergefr Otto Debus both missing, BO Fw Otto Keck believed baled out but killed. Aircraft 100% write-off.
The goose that lays the golden eggs has just croaked its last. |

Peter, I have just found the following:
Funker? Otto Debus, born 08.01.1913, died 10.06.1940. Died at Le Thillot (which is about 4 Km north-east of Le Haut-du-Them) Buried in Andilly Cemetery, 40-18-105. No grave for: Fw. Otto Keck or Oberfw. Heinz Mirau. Perhaps it was Otto Debus who bailed out and was killed? |

Pilot: Oberfeldwebel. Heinz Mirau. 57005/2 – Killed. Born 22.05.1913 in Landau/Danzig. Observer: Feldwebel. Otto Keck. 57005/183 – Captured. Born 23.06.1912 in Esslingen/Neckar. Radio/Op: Obergefreiter. Otto Debus. 69004/48 – Killed. Born 08.01.1913 in Eibelshausen. Burial detail: The graves of the two aircrew killed can be found in the Kriegsgräberstätte in Andilly, France.
