Do 335 A-10 W.Nr. 240112 Captured at Oberpfaffenhofen or Neubiberg?

Hello,

several books claim that W.Nr. 240112 Do 335 A-10 was captured at Oberpfaffenhofen and only later it was transferred to Neubiberg before it was flown to Reims.

However, while there exist many photos of it showing it in Neubiberg, I was not able to find one single photo that shows it in Oberpfaffenhofen. What is more, photos of it in Neubiberg show it both in German and later US markings. One would assume that if it had been flown from Oberpfaffenhofen, it would have received US markings already before that flight.

Therefore, my hypothesis is that it was actually captured at Neubiberg. Only a report of captured aircraft at Neubiberg or Oberpfaffenhofen could prove it or a photo of 240112 at Oberpfaffenhofen.

Does anybody have some further insight?

Thanks!

Roger

Simon Schatz delivers this explanation:

Hi RolandF,

Thanks! It appears that his conclusion is based on the logbook of Joachim Eisermann who seem to have transferred 240112 from Rechlin to Neubiberg at the end of the war.

Does anybody have a copy of the respective page from Eisermann's logbook?

Regards,

Roger
