loss of german aircraft loss in Austria during snowstorm 18.3.1944
Gentlemen,
anyone who can give further details on a german aircraft loss southwest of Vienna, Austria on March 18th, 1944? It is reported that the whole crew died during the crash and it happened in a snowstorm. Unfortunatly I have nothing more yet.... Many thanks for any details. Cheers, K. |

IMPORTANT AMENDMENT: 16.3.1944
I've found so far an aircraft loss that comes pretty close:
16.3.44 Do 217 of FlUG 1 Kreis Lilienfeld CRASH Werknumber 1513 Bruch 100% Crew: Ff Uffz. Ernst ROTTENHAUSER Bf Fw. Artur HASENBAUER Bm Uffz. Jürgen ECKSTEIN all were killed during the crash. has anyone more details on the aircraft or crew? I'm curently checking about "FlUG 1". Thanks for your interest! K. |
