Re: Luftwaffe Losses Detailed Information

Hello Byron,

in the database of "Luftwaffe-zur-See.de" are some complement and divergent informations:
Ju 52/See
Kennung DD+ZX
WNr. 7105 (in Gen.Qu. loss report clearly 7103)
Verband LTS (See)
Besatzung:
+ Ogefr Georg Hiepe
(Bf) Uffz Groh > WIA (in Gen.Qu. clearly Uffz Greh)
(Bm) Uffz Scholz > WIA
(Bs) Uffz Toth > WIA.

Regards
Leo

Re: Luftwaffe Losses Detailed Information

Leo

I have DD+ZY as WNr 7104, so a WNr 7103 for DD+ZX sounds much more logic.

Cheers
Stig

Re: Luftwaffe Losses Detailed Information

Hi Stig,

Karl Kössler, a notable specialist for the transporter Ju 52, has published three definite examples of DD-codes for Ju 52.

The inventory of III./TG 1 from July 1943 lists the Ju 52 DD+ZM, WNr. 7094 and DD+ZO, WNr. 7096.
In a log book of a Junkers works pilot is recorded his maiden flight of the Ju 52WNr. 7098 coded DD+ZQ on February 9, 1941.

The continuation of this series leads to the WNr. 7105 for the DD+ZX.

Regards
Leo

Re: Luftwaffe Losses Detailed Information

These aircraft come from a series of 231 Ju 52/3mg5e produced by JFM Bernburg. W.Nr. 7081 - 7107 had St.kz. DD+ZA to DD+ZZ.

I have WNr. 7082 to 7108 for this stammkennzeichenblock of DD+Zx. Any thoughts?

Re: Luftwaffe Losses Detailed Information

Seaplanes is right but there is a break in the Stkz/W/Nr

7081 - 7088 DD+ZA-ZH
7089 D-ASHY
7090 - 7107 DD+ZI-ZZ
