Update Nachtjagd Combat Archive 1944 Part 5

Dear all,

I have received many questions over the past few weeks from readers of the series on the publication date of the Nachtjagd Combat Archive 1944 Part 5, so here's an update. Due to vital new information that I added to some of the Nachtjagd victory listings in the manuscript of this volume in the NCA series, Wingleader has to do major redesigning of this volume, which unfortunately causes some extra delay in the publication process.

Will keep you posted on developments!

Cheers, Theo

Re: Update Nachtjagd Combat Archive 1944 Part 5

Dear all -a short update again: I'm pleased to tell you that I have just finished work on the revised proofs of the final volume in the 1944 Nachtjagd Combat Archive series (covering 16 October - 31 December 1944). They are perfect now. I expect Wingleader publishing to release this volume by early July!

Re: Update Nachtjagd Combat Archive 1944 Part 5

Hi Theo,
Do you plan to insert a listing of all Nachtjagd losses at the end of the series, in the same way you do for each Bomber Command mission?

Re: Update Nachtjagd Combat Archive 1944 Part 5

Hi Laurent,

Thanks for your enquiry, but no, this is not part of the plan, the Nachtjagd losses are all incorporated in the main narratives throughout the series. What I will do however, is publishing a fully illustrated final volume in the NCA series that presents biographies of all the Nachtjagd pilots, Bordfunker and Bordschütze with one or more victories in WWII, with all of their victories categorised in day/night, confirmed/unconfirmed/West/East etc.

Cheers, Theo

That is amazing news! That even sounds like an entire new project.

I agree. Great news but I suppose it could not be done in a single volume.
