B-26F 42-96251 Marrakech 27 Mar 1944
Not a question, but just FYI.
On Airforcehistoryindex (accidents): (44-3-27-518)*GARRITY, WILLIAM F.; FOUR CREWMEMBERS NAMES IMPOSSIBLE TO READ. The four men were: 2nd Lt William N. Escandel (CP), 2nd Lt Charles N. Bohn (N), S/Sgt Grant F. Hayden (E) and Pfc Warren C. Grimes (RO). All five DNB when B-26F crashed on take-off. 2nd Ferrying Group, plane having started the overseas journey two weeks prior at New Castle AAB, Delaware. Regards, Leendert |
