1/04/1940 Uffz Heinz Goette
Hi !
On 1 April 1940 GC II/2 scored two victories (1 Do17 and 1 He111). Uffz Heinz Goette was probably aboard of one of these planes. He died on 2 April 1940 and was initially buried at Veurne (Belgium). Who has more details about these 2 Luftwaffe planes, their crew and the French pilots who claimed the Do17 and He111 ? Many thanks and best regards Luc |

Hi Luc,
I heard info concerning a crash of an aircraft on that date at Houtem, but no more. Any idea of the unit of this airman ??? Rgds |

Hi Montana,
Many thanks for your reply. No idea about the unit in question. Will ask it the next time I visit the German War Cemetery at Lommel and will inform you accordingly. Best regards Luc |
