"Red 3" JV 44 Werknummer?
I believe this photograph was on eBay at some point, maybe someone here knows where it wound up? The source below is quite poor because of the shake, and it might blur out detail.
Interesting detail is of course the werknummer: Possibly 600665 or 600668? 600669 is already listed as a JG 26 Dora that survived intact in Norway

Re: "Red 3" JV 44 Werknummer?
It has been reported as Wübke's 600565, but has been the subject of 'discussion.'

Re: "Red 3" JV 44 Werknummer?
I would agree the last digit is a 5. not so sure about digits 4 and 5 .....
I have another photo (Osprey JV44) of the same a/c from a different angle, but again no joy on the WNr. They have the first 3 as 600, but leave it at that. I see AZ Models also associate red 3 with Wubke in one of their FW190D-9 kits, but duck the WNr issue. Cheers Peter |

Re: "Red 3" JV 44 Werknummer?
It is certainly interesting, since there is no known 6005xx production? Only questionable example I know of is "600554" listed by JaPo and Crandall as simply "Destroyed" with no unit, no markings and no location.

Re: "Red 3" JV 44 Werknummer?
To further muddy the water, Eduard's 1/48 kit has the WNr for red 3 as
600?69", also associated with Wubke. Cheers |

Re: "Red 3" JV 44 Werknummer?
The W.Nr. of "Red 3" is 600565, however the fourth number is on a spot of camouflage paint and is hard to read.

Hello Jerry.
You sound certain of the number - do you have another source? Cheers Peter |

Yes, I had access to that original photo and I have another unpublished photo similar to this one.
