I guess there are days when not even Specsavers can help you....

Re: Heinkel HD38 Photo?

Thanks Peter
I had this with W/Nr 389 but clearly it is a typo for D-IQYV.
Does anybody have any other Type with D-IDYV? Thanks

Re: Heinkel HD38 Photo?

Peter

I cannot make out any of the letters on top of the wings well enough.
Have you (or if somebody else can) enhanced the photo so I (we) can get a better idea if this is correct or not?

Cheers
Stig

Re: Heinkel HD38 Photo?

Thanks Peter

Admit I still cannot see D-IXAH the way you do, but certainly plausible.

In your first photo from e-bay showing a line up of three HD 38 and what I think is a number of He 51s, D-IXAH is clearly visible as number two in that line.

The third one could well be D-INYH, an Arado built aircraft.

Cheers
Stig

Re: Heinkel HD38 Photo?

Thanks Peter for sharing these
D-IDYV now confirmed as a genuine HD38c reg. If we conclude that D-IQYV is also genuine from documentation then this leads only 5 more to find. Easy peasy! Well I can always live in hope.

Re: Heinkel HD38 Photo?

Hi Tom,

Well we can always hope more turn up on ebay. Personally I'd like to see one with Stammkennzeichen. Well I can always dream...

Re: Heinkel HD38 Photo?

Clint,

the latest flying activites with a HD 38 I have listed in 1936. That well three years before the Stammkennzeichen were introduced.
