605 Sqn Raf Honiley Vampires, photo request.

My father served his national service around 1951 in 605 Squadron based at RAF Honiley. He was an Air Wireless Mechanic servicing radios in the Vampires. Does anyone have any pictures they could share of 605s Vampires or Meteor T7 from around this time please?

Heres a link to a photo of my father and his favourite Vampire E Easy

Thanks for any help, Colin.

Hi Colin,

It may be worth your while getting Ian Pipers book on 605 squadron, there is a fair few photos in there of Vampires from RAF Honiley.

You can obtain a copy through the squadron website,

http://www.605squadron.co.uk/book.htm

Hope this helps,

regards,

Russ
