Re: Bf109 G-2 wk.nr. 14666
Thanks, seems that isn't the aircraft I am looking for. If you are able, could you check for 14058, 14858 and 14958.
I am hoping one of those was lost on 15 March 1943? cheers Dave |

This said, Why, Dave, do you think it's 14666 ? You can, maybe, show us a partial view of the machine's picture ... for it seems it's a bad reading. |

Not sure if Kandalakscha is near there or not. However I have the aircraft as 14685 lost on 27.03.43, Edward Krischkovski POW. Trying to determine which one is in error. I am contacting the museum to see where they discovered the 14666 identity. Dave |

Re: Bf109 G-2 wk.nr. 14666
Hello Dave,
the WNr. of Uffz Krischkovski's Bf 109 G-2 was 14658, not 14685 (Gen.Qu. loss return 28 March 1943, item 344). Regards Leo |

Re: Bf109 G-2 wk.nr. 14666
Gents, according to the museum's researcher the remnants of “<- + -“ were found on the rear fuselage and the fragments of a completely destroyed 14658 were discovered three years ago, so that can be ruled out altogether.
Rear datplate is rusted only 14*** Another query, is there any German report of the circumstances of the loss? According to the Russian, the pilot was drunk and got lost on a flight from Alakurtti to Luostari and ran into trouble. TIA Dave |
