Re: Captured Zero
Air Group 205 was formed in Formosa (Taichung) Feb 45 and beginning Apr 45 was active in suicidal attacks against Allied ships in the Okinawa area. When organized it had a large number of pilots (refugees from the Philippines) but relatively few aircraft. Despite replacements most of its aircraft were expended by June 45. There after it engaged in isolated attacks. The photo must be of one of the few survivors.

Re: Captured Zero
Personally I find the Chinese Ginga a LOT more exciting. Or Gingas I should say, as there seems to be a second one in the background.
Here's a better copy of that photo, by the way: http://www.straggleresearch.com/2008...-markings.html
