Re: Führungskette X Fliegerkorps
For those interested I have extracted some notes from the relevant Lagebericht covering claims by this unit.
If anyone can expand or correct these please let me know.

Re: Führungskette X Fliegerkorps
Chris,
Many thanks for the feedback. I will check the relevant Lagebericht files (if I have them) for the dates that you quote and see if I can expand my table. Had not gone as far as trying to align the German records with vessels attacked so will make that a longer term project - although I may check "Fledgeling Eagles" to see if Shores et al have anything there. On reading Larry DeZeng's potted history on the other (old) thread it looks like there will be othere snippets to be had elsewhere. All the very best and thanks again

Re: Führungskette X Fliegerkorps
Andy, Chris, et al:
It had a rather long history in the Mediterranean, but it seems to have been engaged on courier duties, mostly: 27-29 Apr 42: transferred from Athens to Kastelli/Crete with 2 He 111, 1 W 34, 3 C 445, 2 Bf 108, 1 Fi 156, 1 Klemm 35 and 2 officers, 11 NCOs and 33 men. Re: Führungskette X Fliegerkorps
From the (almost) daily X. Fliegerkorps sitreps in ULTRA, it seems that the He 111s were used for bombing and convoy escort as well. My impression is that air assets in the MTO were so stretched that aircraft were constantly being switched between tasks (e.g. II./KG 100 spent some of its time transporting fuel). Unsurprisingly, the routine communications/liaison work doesn't seem to have been thought worth reporting.

Re: Führungskette X Fliegerkorps
All,
Many thanks for the feedback. Chris - PM inbound. Larry - once more many thanks for the additional info and that in the "old" thread. Nick - thank you, looks like I have more digging to do. All in all it looks like I have accidentally managed to start myself another fact gathering project..... Once again - thank you all for the feedback.
