II./JG 186 (T)
I have come across a reference to II./JG 186 (T) stating that during the invasion of the Low Countries this unit was based (or a detachment was based) at Eindhoven. I am unfamiliar with this unit - can anyone enlighten me?

Re: II./JG 186 (T)
This was the Bf 109 unit designated for the carrier Graf Zeppelin. It was based at Wangerooge and then Antwerp-Deurne. It might have used a number of airfields including Eindhoven during this time but not on a permanent basis

Re: II./JG 186 (T)
Hello Neil,
details in JFV Vol. 3: the II.(J)/Trägergruppe 186 or II./Jagdgruppe 186 (T), abbreviated II./186 (T), was placed under the control of IV./Fliegerkorps (10 – 24 May 1940, basis Wangerooge) and Stab/JG 51 (24 May – 1 June 1940, basis Antwerp-Deurne). Regards Leo |
