60 Squadron Huricane loss 1943

Hi guys

I'm endeavouring to identify a 60 Squadron Hurricane pilot lost in 1943, actual date unknown.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Brian

Brian,

A good place to start:

NB. A work in progress - contact Jagan at RAFCommands.

And to narrow the time frame down 60 squadron didn’t re-equip with Hurricanes until August 1943

Starting operations on the type in November 1943.

Re: 60 Squadron Huricane loss 1943

Thanks guys

The only information I have states that Flt Lt Eric Bambridge (apparently 60 Squadron Hurricane circa 1943) lost his unidentified No.2, who baled out. Unfortunately he was misidentified by a Gurkha patrol, who shot him dead.

Rather vague, I admit.

Cheers
