Do18 crew interned Holland 27/9/39???
Hi guys
On 27 September 1939, a Do18 was shot down by Skuas from Ark Royal. It would seem that a second Do18 was hit and I have a note that it alighted with engine damage at the mouth of a river on the Dutch coast. Is this correct? If so, what was its identity and was the crew interned? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Brian |

Re: Do18 crew interned Holland 27/9/39???
Hi again Brian,
This reminds me of the Do.18D-2 M2+LK Werknr 0718 of 2./KFlGr106 which landed on the beach of the Dutch Frisian Island of Ameland. However, this happened on 13th September 1939... Regards, Hans Nauta |

Sorry, no other Do 18 loss than the one off Scotland (M7+YK W.Nr. 731 of 2./506) reported on the 26. or 27. September 1939.
