Polizeibatallion?
Gentlemen,
Looking for some help on my grandfather's duty during WWII. I am attaching some photos, but can't seem to match the uniforms with anything found on internet. Thanks for your help. Ed |

Re: Polizeibatallion?
Could very well be the Gruene Polizei, or Civilian Police (versus Feldgendarmerie, or Military Police).

Re: Polizeibatallion?
I am quite certain it is an Ordnungspolizei uniform but I have no special knowledge in this area.

Re: Polizeibatallion?
The history of the German Police during 1933 - 1945 is one of the most difficult part of our history. Especialy their duties during the war, there is a smal line between light and darkness.
