B-29 photo, unit emlem help

Hello! Please help to ID unit emblem in this photo, looks lke a wing or arrow ...

I have found a photo with a number 49 on the nose. The arrow marking is an arrow cut in half, lengthwise, with a round, black ball with a wing. Inside the arrow portion are the words 'Three Feathers III." It was with the 500th Bomb Group.


Can you make out the writing under the dark window?

Note that number 50 (Z square 50) does not seem to be named. The photo you have seems to have been taken after 44 missions.
The photo of the plane on the link was taken a little later (after 53 missions).

On this link, Z-square 50 is called "Fancy Detail", and the pilot was Braden. Other sources say the plane's serial number was 42-24696.
