Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hello Rudi,
I believe that the Bf 109 in Post #669 is Bf 109 E-7 (WNr. 3552) found abandoned at Fl.Horst Fürth.
Respectfully,
Steve Sheflin

Re: eBAy: Captured german planes

Hello Rudi, regarding Post #675,

The Fw 190 D-9 with the two GIs is a flopped print, and represents our old friend:

Mimetall-Erfurt-built Fw 190D-9 (WNr. 500570), 12+ - Blue, late of 8./II./JG6, flown-in to surrender at Fl.Horst Fürth on 45/05/08.

Respectfully,

Steve Sheflin

Siebel Si 204 W.Nr. 321 201, Blindflugschule.

Courtesy of Mike Harpe, over on WWII Pictures Group, facebook.com. Notice the Ju 87 G-2 in the background. Any ideas about the location and unit ?

Cheers
Marc
