Major George Alfred Patterson, Jr., USAF
I'm looking for information on this USAF officer who died on 29 May 1959, possibly in a crash in Canada. Can't find any crash in Canadian records.

Re: Major George Alfred Patterson, Jr., USAF
Bill,
Somehow his record on findagrave.com gives 31 May 1959 as date of death. Of course an accident may have occurred days before. Major Patterson is commemorated in Winters, CA. Regards, Leendert |

Re: Major George Alfred Patterson, Jr., USAF
Thanks Leendert. RCAF records have shown the crash was on 31 May 1959. Silver Star 21264 of No. 111 (C&R) Flight at Winnipeg, crashed on takeoff from Calgary, en route to the West Coast. Patterson was an exchange officer.
