Re: He115 Wrk.No. 3253 lost 14 Sept 1942

Part of the STKZ VF+U is clearly attributed to He115, from at least VF+UP Wn 3243, not 3246, to VF+UZ Wn 3253, without holes , nd logical to find UP = 3243 nd UZ= 3253, also VF+UY is documented as 3252..
Problem is we hv a beautiful picture of an Bf 108, with VF+UZ ....

Regarding these ones,

Something fishy :
http://luftwaffe-zur-see.de/Seeluft/...n/Jahr1940.htm
26.08.40 He 115 C4 VF+ UW 3253 100 2. / Kü.Fl.Gr. 506 Tromsö, Feindeinwirkung, Bombenwurf - RL 2 III / 1174
http://luftwaffe-zur-see.de/Seeluft/...n/Jahr1942.htm
14.09.42 He 115 C4 VF+ UW 3253 100 1. / Kü.Fl.Gr. 906 Lakse-Fjord, Angriff auf PQ 18, Notlandung infolge schlechten Wetters beim Nordkap, Landungsbruch - PG 74984
RL 2 III / 1183

The sources quoted dont give the STKZ...

Re: He115 Wrk.No. 3253 lost 14 Sept 1942

I have a problem here with the STKZ.

A master list compiled by Barry Rosch states re the He 115 batch WNr 3245 - 3256 they were VF+UO to VF+UZ.

I can't see anything changed at the STKZ homepage either even if Remi's Bf 108 is also listed.

From where does the 'new' STKZ originate and how certain are they?

Cheers
Stig

Re: He115 Wrk.No. 3253 lost 14 Sept 1942

Put my 2 cnts here:

He 115 VF+UY (photo goggle/Pinterest, below) shows W.Nr. 3252

(batch count seems found out from VF+UO as 3245, then W, X, Y, and Z as 3256 (12)
but seeing VF+UY 3252 gives totally different result,
does not conflict with if Bf 108 VF+UZ (altho I have no proof of this here and now)
