Information concerning uffz. Johann Frohler - killed in combat on 31.12.1944

Hi,

Can anyone provide information on Uffz. Frohler. he was killed in an air battle over Hamburg on 31.12.1944.

I thought he might be in JG301/2 but could not find him in my book on that unit.

Many thanks

Rick

Good luck on figuring out which 8th AF Fg was on the 'other side' with the 339th 355th, 359th and 364th all claiming 40+ Fw 190's in the Hamburg area.

He made three claims, all over B-24's on 26th November 1944 over the Hannover area at 1241 hrs 7000 metres, 1243 hrs 6500 metres and 1245 hrs 6000 metres with 9./JG 301. A short career unless somebody can dig up previous units for him. I have him killed in combat with B-24's on 31st December 1944.

Regards

Johannes
