RAF Do 17 Kill 15 Sep 40?

U5+CN of the 5./KG 2 shot down during the late afternoon of 15 September 1940 and force-landed at Eighteen-Pounder Farm, Westfield, Sussex.

Can anyone tell me the name of the RAF pilot and unit that claimed this kill and also the names of the German aircrew?

Are there published pictures of this fallen airplane?

Thank you,
Steve

Stephen,

The Dornier is listed as having been s/d by Spitfires of 609 Sqn.
As mentioned in my earlier response on the Lw board the crew, excepting Ofw.Hafner who was killed aftyer baling out, were made P/W. The captured crew members were: Oblt.Latz, Uffz.Reinisch and Fw.Hasse.

HTH

Dave
