Uffz. Rudolf Fenter .1/JG 77

Hello to all!
Need information about Uffz. Rudolf Fenter from .1/ JG 77. Has he killed in operations or survived? Number of claims?
Any information of werknummer and codes of his aircraft on 4 December 1941 when he shot down a PRU Mosquito?
Glad in advance
Adriano

Hi Adriano

I believe you mean Rudolf Fenten. He achieved one victory with 1./JG 77 and a further nine with 6./JG 5 achieving the rank of Feldwebel. Unfortunately that is all I know.

Regards
Gordon

Feldwebel Rudolf Fenten, II./JG 5, Fw 190, shot down the Mosquito on the 26th of August 1942 near the harbour of Oslo. He damaged a second Mosquito in the same mission, which could escape and land with one burning engine in Norwich/UK.

Rudolf Fenten is 87 years now, clear in his mind and - sometimes - still flying a private aircraft.

All the best, Horst

Hello Horst and Gordon!
Yes, I mispelled his name. It is indeed FENTEN.
He shot down a Mosquito from 105 Squadron on 26th August 1942, but I am trying to link his claims on 4th December 1941 to the loss of S/L Alistair Lennox Taylor, DFC** a famous Reconnaissance pilot from 1 PRU, who went missing with his Navigator. They crashed on the sea to avoid the Germans capturing the NEW Mosquito aircrfaft´s remains...
Yes, I found later that Uffz. Fenten went MIA on 19 February 1943 flying a Bf 109 G-2/R6 Yellow 6.
Horst, do you have his address or access to him? Could you send it to me via private message? I would ask him about those Mosquito interceptions. I was a former member of the Mosquito Aircrew Association in UK.
Thanks a lot for your answer - to both of you.
Adriano
